We ALL can identify the final song in the ground breaking show “Breaking Bad,” even if we had never heard of the band Badfinger before. As the curtains begin to draw slowly on the drama’s former hero/antihero Walter White in the series finale titled “Felina”, the opening cords to the little known 1971 power pop song “Baby Blue” sounds. The song (with its jarringly appropriate lyrics) was the most brilliantly subtle way to send both Heisenberg and the show into the dark, but it also tends to overshadow other genius songs that show’s creator Vince Gilligan carefully placed throughout the series itself. Let’s take a minute or two to acknowledge those songs that deserve to shine on their own a tad.
